Detail/construction phase for an apartment building in Sandefjord, Norway. The project is in a protected plaza, frequented by local and visitor traffic. It was important for the project to re-affirm the classical style while introducing modern ideas.
I was part of a small team under the direction of project architect and the technical drafter. My tasks included creating construction drawings for the project builder. These included detail drawings for the staircase, window detail, railing details, roof details, among others.
The BIM model and the construction drawings were done in ArchiCAD.

Neo-Classical Railing
An important component of the facade is the balcony railing for which I created working drawings. My task was to take a design drawing from the previous architect and make sure it abides with safety and construction regulations. For example, the gaps formed by the ornamentation must fulfill the Norwegian Regulations on technical requirements for construction works (TEK17) for securing the occupants of the balcony.
The tool used is ArchiCAD.
